The reason the category exists is simple: there is an audience looking for exactly this and rarely finding it. Rather than having to ask over messages, it is better that it is written down.
How booking actually works
For this style we do not keep a fixed list in the catalogue. The line-up is put together per date, from dancers who work with us and do not all appear on the site.
What we need from you: the day, the time, the area and the size of the group. We come back with who is available and in what format, and if there is no match that evening we say so rather than offering something else and hoping you will not notice.
Book earlier than usual — a week or more in season. For the rest of the catalogue you can ask for a date the following day.
What changes technically and what does not
Three things do, and all of them are about furniture rather than about dancing.
First, the chair. If the set includes a seated section, it needs a stable wooden or metal chair without arms. A plastic garden chair, a tall bar stool or a folding chair will not do, and that is safety rather than preference.
Second, the pole. A pressure-mounted pole fitted between floor and ceiling is not recommended here, even when it was installed correctly. If you want pole work it needs a professionally mounted pole, and without one we will work with a chair instead.
Third, a lower heel, which makes a hard surface more important rather than less. Thick rugs, grooved decking and a terrace of gapped paving all suit it poorly.
What does not change: the space needed, the music, the length of the set, the price and the boundaries.
What the set looks like
The base is presence rather than acrobatics. Movement on the spot, longer holds, work with a chair, and a lot of eye contact. The pace is slow to medium, close to burlesque and far from go-go.
The outfit is usually a corset, stockings, gloves and sometimes a silk robe — clothes built around silhouette rather than a fast reveal. The undressing moves slowly and in layers, and that is part of the design rather than a compromise.
The length is the same as everywhere else: twenty to forty minutes depending on the format you choose.
Why the category is on the site at all
Because the question comes in, and almost always with an apology attached.
People write "this might be a strange thing to ask", "I hope this is alright", and then describe what they want in vague terms. None of that is necessary. A preference about body type is exactly like a preference about style, age or language, and there is no reason to wrap it up.
