What the Sharon cities have in common

The Sharon is a strip that begins at Herzliya and runs through Raanana, Kfar Saba and Hod HaSharon up to Netanya, with Rosh HaAyin at the eastern end.

For a show they share one thing that changes nearly everything: there is room here. The share of private houses with gardens is far higher than in Gush Dan, living rooms are large, and the neighbour is across a fence rather than through a wall.

The drive is forty to sixty minutes, with no surcharge to any of these cities.

The inland Sharon and the coastal Sharon

Inside the strip there are two worlds, and it is worth knowing which one you are in.

The inland Sharon — Raanana, Kfar Saba, Hod HaSharon and Rosh HaAyin. Almost everything here happens at home: no hotels, no nightlife, and the evening starts and ends at the same address. Groups of ten to twenty in a house with a garden are the common profile.

The coastal Sharon — Herzliya and Netanya. There are hotels, a marina and visitors, so half the bookings are a hotel room rather than a house. The format is shorter, usually solo, and often comes from guests from abroad.

If you are deciding where to hold an evening for a large group, go inland. If the evening revolves around two or three people, the coast is easier.

Why evenings start early here

This is the most characteristic thing about the Sharon, and it surprises anyone used to Tel Aviv.

The streets in these cities empty by half past ten and the neighbours sleep early. So evenings start early: a booking for eight or nine is the norm rather than eleven as in the city.

That changes two things for us. First, at those hours the road is clear and we arrive at the lower end of the band. Second, an outdoor set until ten is almost always fine, and after ten it is better to move inside — in a villa neighbourhood the sound travels into three gardens around you.

A house with a garden: what it gives you

This is what people come to the Sharon for, so it is worth spelling out what it changes.

There is three metres by three and more, a hard floor, a room to change in, and no neighbour under the floor. That means the whole catalogue is open: a club set and go-go, which are choked in a city flat, are in their element. A duo fits without crowding the room, and this is the area where it is booked most.

What is added to the preparation list: the way in is a gate rather than a door, so someone needs to come out and meet her. And if there is a dog in the yard, tell us in advance.

Pools and summer

Between May and September a large share of the evenings here move into the garden, often beside a home pool.

Three things to arrange: a dry area to one side rather than wet tile by the water, light at eye level rather than only from inside the pool, and a towel within reach. And if most of the guests are in the water when the number starts, half the audience misses it, so time it around the food.

The style that suits a pool party best is go-go. In winter everything returns to the living room, and then burlesque and fashion take the floor.

English is not a special request

Raanana, Kfar Saba and Herzliya have large English-speaking communities, and Netanya has French and Russian speakers as well.

We answer in Hebrew, English and Russian, and where it matters we send a dancer who works in fluent English. Say so in the first message and we will not have to sort it out mid-conversation. We do not promise French, and we say that up front rather than after the booking is confirmed.

Arrival and arranging it

The drive is forty to sixty minutes depending on the city and the hour. Midweek you can close the same day; on Thursday and Friday a day ahead is better, especially if you want a particular name from the catalogue or a duo.

The price is the same across all the Sharon cities and travel is included. Cash at the end of the evening, no deposit.

What to put in your message

The city, the kind of place (house, flat or hotel), the hour and how many of you. If it is a house with a garden, add whether the set is indoors or outside — it changes what she brings with her.

What people ask The Sharon

Herzliya, Raanana, Kfar Saba, Hod HaSharon, Netanya, and Rosh HaAyin at the eastern end. One price for all of them, travel included.

Forty to sixty minutes depending on the city and the hour. At the early hours common here the road is clear and we arrive at the lower end of the band.

Space. Far more private houses with gardens, larger living rooms, and the neighbour across a fence rather than through a wall. So the whole catalogue is open here, including club sets and go-go.

Relatively early — eight or nine. The streets empty by half past ten, and an outdoor set after ten is heard by the neighbours.

Very common in summer. You need a dry area to one side rather than wet tile, light at eye level, and the number timed for when everyone is out of the water. Go-go suits it best.

Yes, and in Raanana and Herzliya it is routine. We answer in English and Russian, and where it matters we send a dancer who works in fluent English. French we do not promise.

800 ILS solo, 1,400 duo, 2,200 VIP across all the Sharon cities, travel included. Cash at the end.
