A city without lifts

Most of Yavne was built in the eighties and nineties as four-storey blocks, and most of them have no lift. That is the most practical fact on this page.

The dancer arrives with a bag, a costume and heels, sometimes with a speaker. Four floors up a narrow stairwell is not a drama, but it does mean two things: tell us the floor in advance, and have someone come down to open the door rather than leaving her at the entrance working out which bell is yours.

In the newer quarters — Neot Rabin and Kramim — there are lifts and car parks, and it is like anywhere else. So in the first message we ask for the neighbourhood and the floor, and it is not curiosity.

The groups here are younger than our average

In Yavne the people booking are younger than in any other city we cover, and that changes the kind of evening.

In practice it means more bachelor parties and fewer milestone birthdays, groups of ten to twenty, and a clear preference for energetic styles: go-go, a club set, and lap dance for the groom.

There is a side to that which needs planning. A large young group in a four-room flat in a building with no insulation is exactly the situation where neighbours knock. If that is your profile, consider opening with burlesque and keeping the loud part short.

The rules do not change with the age of the room

Worth saying plainly here, because this is the city with the most groups who have never booked a show before.

Guests do not initiate contact. The dancer sets the distance, she stops the set and it is not up for discussion. Phones go down before the number starts, and that includes photos “just as a memory”. Payment is cash at the end, with no deposit.

None of that is said as a threat. It is said so the evening goes well: a group who knows it in advance enjoys it more, because nobody spends the night testing where the line is. The full detail is in the FAQ.

Distance and hours

The drive to Yavne takes forty-five to sixty minutes and carries no surcharge. In the evening it is usually the lower end, because heading south at that hour is clear.

Spontaneous works less well here than in the centre. A request for an hour’s time on a Thursday will nearly always meet “nobody is free”, simply because whoever is already south is booked and whoever is north will not arrive in time. A day ahead solves it almost every time.

If your date is fixed and you want a particular dancer from the catalogue, three or four days ahead is worth it.

Kramim and the private houses

In the Kramim quarter and along the eastern edge there are detached houses with gardens, and that is the easiest address in the city.

There is room, there is parking and an outdoor set is possible. A duo fits too, and this is almost the only part of town where we suggest one without hesitation.

The usual preparation for a private house applies: someone comes out to the gate, and if there is a dog in the yard, tell us beforehand.

An evening made of three cities

Yavne sits between Ashdod and Rishon LeZion, and many groups here are assembled from all three.

The practical side: somebody is always late and the hour moves. Set a time that already accounts for it rather than the optimistic plan. If it becomes clear mid-evening that you have shifted, write immediately — a quarter of an hour is almost always fine, an hour depends on her diary.

And if the group is still deciding between towns, it makes no difference to us: all three are the same price and the same travel band.

Yavne borders Ashdod to the south, Rehovot to the east and Rishon LeZion to the north. All three are within twenty minutes of here.
