What is different here from the rest of the list

Jerusalem is the first city on our pages that sits outside the band where travel is included in the price, so we will start there.

Getting here takes an hour to an hour and a half, depending on the day and the time. There is a travel supplement, and you are told what it is over messages before anything is confirmed, together with the total. We never say “we will see at the end”.

The second consequence of the distance: nothing closes for an hour from now. A spontaneous request will almost always be turned down, simply because no dancer is already in the area. A day ahead is the minimum, and at weekends two days is better.

Most evenings here happen in a hotel

Jerusalem has the second-largest stock of hotel rooms in the country, and in practice two thirds of our bookings here are a hotel room rather than a flat.

That changes the logistics. City-centre hotels are busy around the clock, the lobby is full, and sometimes a key card is needed to work the lift. What we ask for: the room number at the confirmation stage rather than in the first message, and someone who knows she is on the way.

What is never done: no asking reception to pass a message on, no calling the room from the lobby, no waiting by the desk. If the lift needs a card, come down and meet her. More on this format is on the hotel booking page.

A standard room is three metres by four with a bed in the middle, so the styles that work there are lap dance, fashion and pin-up. Pole does not fit and a club set will be heard in the corridor.

Who books here

The overwhelming majority are people who are in the city temporarily: a conference, a work trip, a weekend, a group who came up from the centre to celebrate.

The typical booking is solo for one person or a couple, sometimes a group of four to eight in a suite or a short-let flat. Groups of twenty barely happen here, and that is mostly a question of space: short-let flats in the city are on the small side.

A large share of enquiries arrive in English. We answer in English and Russian, and where it matters we send a dancer who works in fluent English — say so in your message and we will not have to sort it out later.

The road and the weather

The drive to Jerusalem is the only one of ours where weather changes the timing.

In winter, the climb on Route 1 in rain or fog easily adds twenty minutes and sometimes more. We leave with a wider margin on days like that and keep you updated on the way, but if your hour is critical, set it earlier rather than later.

Something else that surprises people from the coast: winter in Jerusalem is genuinely cold, including inside older buildings. If the set is in a flat with stone floors, put the heating on half an hour beforehand. It sounds like a small thing and it changes how the number looks.

Jerusalem stone: thick walls, an echoing stairwell

Construction here is physically different from the centre of the country, and that cuts both ways.

The good side: thick stone walls absorb sound. In a flat in an older building in Rehavia or the German Colony, music in the living room barely reaches the neighbour through the wall. That is a freedom you do not get in a new build on the coast.

The other side: the stairwells in those same buildings echo hard. A door slamming, heels on stone steps, a conversation at the entrance — all of it carries to every floor. So for a surprise booking we ask that someone waits at an open door rather than at the intercom.

Parking and finding the address

In the centre and the older neighbourhoods parking is difficult and expensive, and the streets are narrow and one-way. If you are in a flat, give us a nearby junction and add ten minutes.

Most city-centre hotels have a car park, which is far simpler — tell us whether there is guest parking or whether a nearby public car park is better.

In Talpiot, Malha and Har Hotzvim parking is straightforward, and that is also where most of the company event enquiries come from.
