Lilit Morgan
Gothic burlesque, corset shows, dark aesthetics, themed looks (nun, gothic queen, vampiress)
Gothic burlesque in a steel-boned corset. Slow, dark and precise.
What my show actually looks like
My territory is gothic burlesque. A corset, low light, slow music, and in that I am completely at home. I do not work fast and I do not work loud. My show is built on sustained tension and on moments where nothing happens, which is exactly what makes a room go quiet.
I work in a real steel-boned corset, one that actually reshapes the waist rather than suggesting it. That changes both how I look and how I move: in a corset like that you cannot dance quickly, so every movement comes out deliberate.
My music is darkwave and neoclassical, sometimes a slow tango. Not pop and not club tempo. I bring my own playlist and ask that nobody changes it halfway, because the show is built to the tracks.
Who I suit
Themed parties, gothic evenings, a birthday for someone bored of an ordinary show. Lofts with stone or concrete walls, late after-parties.
A relatively quiet stag night where people are willing to watch rather than only laugh. I also play well to a mixed room, because there is nothing in burlesque that makes a woman present feel uncomfortable.
Where I fit less: a loud party of fifteen after four hours of drinking. The tension I build simply breaks there, and you would be better served by someone with high energy.
Where it works
A space with character — stone, concrete, brick, height. The more ordinary the room, the less my character works. A bright family living room is not my ground, and I will say so in the message rather than turn up and discover it.
Much of my work is in Florentin and Jaffa lofts. I also travel to Herzliya and to cabins — a cabin with a fireplace and stone walls looks excellent.
What I do not do
I do not change the music halfway and I do not do “something more cheerful”. If you wanted a light show you booked the wrong dancer, and I would rather we established that first.
Nobody touches the corset or tries to open it. It comes off last and only by my hand, which is part of the show rather than a whim.
No filming. And the show ends when it ends, with no afterwards, same as all of us. There is more on the about page.
How I got into this
I studied costume design, and in my second year I sewed a corset for a project. I put it on to check the fit, looked in the mirror and understood I wanted to be on the other side of the sewing.
Gothic burlesque is a small niche even internationally, and in Israel you can count on one hand the people doing it seriously. That means less work, and I am fine with that — I would rather have three evenings a month where the show looks the way it should.
Six years in the work. I still sew the corsets myself and each one takes a fortnight.
What I bring and what I need from you
A corset, a velvet gown, lace gloves, shoes and the music. The bag is heavy and I arrive with it by car.
From you: very low light. A candle or two side lamps, ceiling light off. It is the one request I repeat, because under hard white light the whole aesthetic disappears and what is left is a woman in a black dress.
And a side room for ten minutes. A real corset does not go on in two, and rushing me means the show starts badly.
Mistakes people make when they book me
Booking me as “something special” for a room that is not ready. If the guests expected something light, my entrance lands on an awkward silence rather than the right one.
Leaving the lights on. The most common and the most destructive with me.
Putting me first. I work well once the evening has found its rhythm. Going first is a waste.
Asking me to cut it short. Possible, but burlesque compressed to twenty minutes loses everything you booked it for. If time is tight, another format is better.
What I ask before I confirm
My style does not fit every room, so I ask more than the others. I would rather say I am not the right choice than have you pay for a show that did not land.
What the space looks like. Stone, concrete, height — excellent. A bright living room with a beige sofa — less so, and then I suggest someone else and say who.
How dark it can get. If there is no way to kill the ceiling light, half my aesthetic goes with it. A one second question that saves a mediocre evening.
Who the audience is and how much they have drunk. Burlesque needs people who can watch for twenty minutes. After four hours of drinking that is not my audience and I will say so plainly.
Whether I am first or in the middle. I work best once the evening has found its rhythm, and my entrance is half the show.
Booking me
In the message: my name, the hour, the address, how many guests and what the space is like. I always ask about the space.
Standard price, no costume surcharge and no deposit. Closest to me: Yasmin Coral in classic burlesque and Rivka Stone in a darker aesthetic. The full gallery is here.
What Lilit Morgan actually performs
Not a list of tags but what she actually does in the room. If this is your first booking, the difference between styles matters more than anything else.
A built performance with an entrance, a peak and an ending. The reveal is the punchline rather than the content.
Leather, latex and a harness. An aesthetic rather than a session: a character, a costume and an atmosphere.
What Lilit Morgan arrives in
Pick one in the message, at no extra charge. She brings it in her bag and changes in a side room.

What people ask Lilit Morgan
Because velvet and lace work on shadow. Under hard white light the corset looks flat and the show loses all its depth.
It can, but I would not recommend it. Burlesque is built on accumulation, and cutting it leaves only the ending.
Very much. There is nothing in burlesque that makes a woman in the room uncomfortable, which is one of the great advantages of the style.
Darkwave, neoclassical and sometimes a slow tango. I bring my own playlist and ask that it is not changed halfway.
Yes, each one takes a fortnight. I studied costume design and came to the stage from there.
Gladly, and it is one of the settings that suits me best, especially one with a fireplace or stone walls.
Let us talk. We may turn off some lights, or I may suggest another dancer who would look better there. I say that in advance, not at the door.
