In most cities we ask for a street and a number. In Tiberias and around it that simply does not work.

A large share of the bookings here are for a cabin, a rented house or a compound in a village, and many of them have no address you can type in. There is a place name, an access road and a small sign. In the dark, on an unlit road, that means half an hour of searching.

So our request here never changes: send a map pin rather than an address. And if the gate is locked or the way in is a dirt track, say that too — someone coming out to meet her handles the rest.

In the town itself, on the promenade and in Kiryat Shmuel, there are ordinary addresses and everything is simpler.

This is a planned trip too

The drive to Tiberias takes two to two and a half hours, so nothing closes for the same evening.

Two or three days ahead is the sensible minimum, more in season. The exact terms, including the travel supplement and the final price, come to you over messages before you confirm — never at the end of the evening.

As with any long trip, a short format serves nobody. If we are coming anyway, a duo or a VIP set gives far more for the same evening, and that is what we suggest first.

A cabin with a jacuzzi: the main format

There are hundreds of holiday cabins around the lake and in the lower Galilee, and that is where most of what we do here happens.

As a venue it is convenient: no neighbours, music is fine, and there is usually an open living area and a yard. Three things are worth checking first.

The floor. Many cabins have parquet or tile, which is fine, but the area around the jacuzzi is almost always wet. Nobody dances there.

Space. A two-person cabin is small, and in some of them the bed takes everything. A group is better off in a compound with a separate living room. For a couple it is excellent for lap dance or pin-up.

House rules. Some owners forbid music after a certain hour, or extra guests beyond the number booked. Better to find out beforehand than at ten at night. More on the cabin booking page.

Seasons: extreme here

Tiberias is more seasonal than anywhere else on the list.

Over holidays, the summer break and long weekends the town is full, the cabins are taken and our dates close early. Midweek in winter it is completely quiet, and then two days’ notice is enough.

There is also a factor that exists nowhere else on this list: Tiberias sits two hundred metres below sea level, and summer nights here are hot and humid. In July and August, even at eleven at night, an outdoor set is not a good idea. From October to May the evenings are pleasant and a yard is fine without a second thought.

The promenade hotels

Tiberias has a strip of hotels along the shore, and they make up about a third of the bookings here.

Most of them are family hotels, which means an active lobby and corridors with children in them until late. The rule we give: the room number only at the confirmation stage, without involving reception, and someone who knows she is on the way.

In a standard room space is limited, so fashion and lap dance are what work. If you have a suite with a balcony over the lake, burlesque is possible too, but those balconies are visible from the next hotel along — indoors is better.

A set on a boat on the lake

Boats on the Kinneret leave from the marina in town, and the water here is calm almost always, far more so than the Mediterranean.

The rules are the same as for a set on deck anywhere: at anchor, engine off, barefoot rather than in heels, and the call about conditions stays with the dancer and the skipper. You book the boat, and we time the number to fall after she has anchored.

In summer it is worth choosing a sunset departure: after five the breeze on the water is pleasant, and it is close to the only comfortable outdoor hour of the day.

The closest point we cover is Haifa, about an hour away. If you are choosing between them: Haifa has more large spaces in the city itself, and Tiberias has more cabins and rented houses.
